About Us

Welcome to KR8 Studios — a small studio built for hobbyists, collectors, and creators who share a passion for collectible kits and statues. What started as a personal love for collectible statues and figurines quickly grew into a mission: to make the same kinds of high-quality kits we fell in love with more accessible to others who enjoy building, painting, displaying, and collecting.

At KR8 Studios, attention to detail is at the core of everything we create. From precision resin printing and professional washing/curing processes to careful post-processing and preparation, every kit is handled with the same level of care and quality we would expect for our own collection.

Whether you're customizing, painting, or proudly displaying your next piece, our goal is to deliver collectible kits that look incredible, feel premium, and are made with genuine passion for the hobby.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your kits painted?
  • No. Our models are unpainted kits. All kits use space grey resin, while translucent resin is used for select parts. The pictures used for the models are color renders for reference & display.
Custom Design Request?
  • If there is a model or figure you would like printed that is not currently offered by us, please feel free to contact us for a custom quote.
What finishes do you offer for your prints?
  • Level 1 - Parts ship unassembled & unprimed. We remove supports, clean, & cure model. Best for full DIY experience.
  • Level 2 - Parts ship primed & unassembled. We remove supports, clean, cure, sand & smooth, fill imperfections, align fitment & apply primer (Vallejo Grey)
Do you provide assembly instructions?
  • No. Our studio at this time does not offer assembly instructions, but we do color code any parts that need to be glued, keyed, or jointed to ensure proper fitment.
Things To Avoid During Post Processing/Assembly
  • Gluing before test fitting. Make sure all parts fit first before applying glue or adhesive.
  • Using too much glue. This can cause glue to leak out of parts and create a glaze that can cause unwanted texture and/or loss of detail. More glue does not = better adhesion. Using a spray activator helps a bunch with this process.
  • Forcing parts together. Check fitment before final assembly, this will help avoid parts avoid stress fractures, cracks, and even wrong parts getting stuck!
  • Oversanding. Keep sanding light and as pressure free on the model as possible. Remove material small bits at a time. Removing material is significantly easier to remove than having to add back surface material/detail loss.
  • Painting model fully assembled. This can be done but will make a good paint job 1000% harder. Priming / painting parts while separate gives you access to nooks and crannies you may not have if model is already put together
  • Storing kits in direct sunlight or heat. Kits are best stored/displayed in cool environments avoiding sunlight/UV exposure. This can prevent your model from warping or becoming brittle.
How should I clean or maintain my statue?
  • Keep statues out of direct sunlight and prolonged UV exposure to help prevent brittleness and warping over time.
  • Display resin statues in a cool, dry environment with stable temperatures
  • Dust statues regularly using a soft makeup brush, microfiber cloth, or compressed air designed for collectibles/electronics.
  • Handle statues with clean hands or gloves to minimize oils, fingerprints, and accidental staining.
  • Always lift statues from their strongest structural areas or base rather than thin parts or protruding details.
  • Transparent or translucent resin parts may yellow faster if exposed to excessive UV light; UV-protective display cases can help reduce this effect. Resin statues are intended for display purposes and should not be exposed to outdoor conditions or prolonged moisture.

Can I cancel my order?
  • Yes — orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund.
  • After the initial 24-hour window, cancellations may still be possible depending on the production stage of the order. However, once production has begun, a 20% cancellation fee will apply to help cover material usage, production time, and processing costs associated with made-to-order resin products.
What should I do if parts are missing or broken?
  • Please contact us ASAP so we may assist you as quickly as possible. We carefully inspect and package every order before shipment, but occasional shipping damage can still occur during transit. Once we review the issue, we will work with you to determine the best solution.
  • Please keep all original packaging materials until the claim has been reviewed, as they may be required for shipping verification purposes.

Are your products suitable for children?
  • Many kits may contain sharp edges, fragile components, or small pieces that could present a choking hazard. Due to presence of these small parts and the nature of resin materials, our products are not recommended for children.

What materials are used for your kits and statues?
  • Our kits and statues are produced using high-quality 8K ABS-like resin in a space grey finish.
  • Select models may also include the option for translucent resin parts, which can be painted or dyed to achieve custom lighting, energy, or special effect appearances depending on the project.
What scales do you offer?
  • Chibis: Chibi, Chibi XL
  • Busts: 1/10, 1/6, 1/4
  • Full Size & Diorama: 1/10 & 1/6
  • 1/3 Busts, Chibi XXL, Statue 1/4 & Statue 1/3 Coming Soon
Are small imperfections normal?
  • Yes — minor imperfections are a normal part of the resin 3D printing process. While we take great care in printing, washing, curing, and post-processing every kit and statue; small support marks, light layer lines, minor surface variations, or subtle cleanup areas are will be present for our Level 1 post processing. These imperfections are typically minimal and can often be easily sanded, filled, or primed during assembly and finishing.
  • Our Level 2 and Level 3 finishes on the other hand were made to have the model's surfaces and details come out as ready to paint or display as possible.
Which countries do you ship to?
  • At this time, we currently ship within the United States only. We hope to expand to additional international shipping locations in the future as our studio continues to grow.
